upcycled bag brand
rice and carry
Rice & Carry are a Social Enterprise based on the East Coast of Sri Lanka. They aim to empower and support communities in the region rather than optimising on profit.
Rice & Carry bags are made from locally collected and carefully cleaned recycled materials. All fabrics used are fair trade certified and made in Sri Lanka by local women who have become creative professional manufacturers as a result of their time working with them.
They initially came to us to commission this song, and we later compiled the video for them remotely from footage shot by an environmental NGO and the Art of Isuri MH.

Waste Less Arugam Bay (WLAB) is an intervention into the booming coastal tourist destination of Arugam Bay in the Eastern Province of Sri Lanka. Their partnership with USAID is a unique opportunity to not only establish a waste segregation system for plastics but also implement a new identity of Arugam Bay as a sustainable/green tourist destination.
We were commissioned to shoot, voice-over and create this brand film explainer for them showing their system and process in a fun a light way.
